Discover how we are actively transforming rural India through comprehensive grassroots initiatives across education, environment, animal welfare, and community empowerment.
Education is the ultimate equalizer. Through our 'Mission Rozgar' (Mission Employment), we have established a network of free competitive exam coaching centres, physical training facilities, and community libraries deep within rural and tribal belts of Gadchiroli and Nashik districts.
Our academies are not just tuition centres; they are incubators for self-reliance. In just 2–3 years, MIAM's training has helped 20+ tribal youth secure government employment in the police force, paramilitary, and Indian Army — pulling entire families out of generational poverty. We provide free study material, coaches, physical training, uniforms, and even travel support.
Specialized physical training and comprehensive examination preparation for tribal youth aiming for police and defense services.
Career coaching and mentorship in one of India's most remote tribal districts, bridging the massive urban-rural education gap.
Establishing free, fully-stocked community libraries in Lahvit and Donwade villages to cultivate a culture of reading and self-study.
"Har Ghar Naukri Aur Jeevan Bhar Roshni" — A Job in Every Home and Lifelong Prosperity.
The vision driving every MIAM AcademyOur flagship academy in Waghera Adivasi village (41.2 km from Nashik) was the first MIAM facility — a response to the absence of nearby higher education and the rise of negative habits among local youth. We provide free study material, furniture, subject coaches, online and offline classes, and physical training to prepare students for government job exams.
In partnership with Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd., we opened a new academy in the heart of Chintalpeth, Gadchiroli, focused on Adivasi youth. Students receive shoes, socks, stationery, and free physical training for police and defence services. The academy specialises in Police Bharti, Army Bharti, CISF, Forest Department, and other government exams.
Two MIAM-owned libraries inaugurated with the help of Gram Panchayat — both staffed exclusively by qualified women, combining education with women's empowerment.
A free digital-form centre, 14.5 km from Nashik, set up after the Gram Panchayat approached MIAM about children's transport and finance barriers. Operator Atharva Dhole (MS-CIT) helps villagers access:
Connecting parents who cannot afford their children's education with sponsors. Our beneficiaries include:
School and college education sponsorship.
School education sponsorship.
College education sponsorship.
Bulk sponsorship in Thane, Mumbai — sustaining their right to education.
Notebooks, competitive books, tables, and chairs distributed to libraries and NGOs across Nashik District villages — providing the comfort and dignity students need for long-duration competitive-exam preparation.
A simple school bag can be the difference between a child attending school with confidence or staying home in shame. Our "Bringing Smile" campaign donates school bags and stationery to underprivileged children across rural and urban India — eliminating the financial barrier and the inferiority complex that comes with arriving at school empty-handed. The smiles on their faces are a testament to the campaign's success.
Proper footwear is a basic dignity that most tribal students never have. MIAM's Sports Shoes initiative provides running shoes, socks, and t-shirts to children at our academies — removing the discomfort that distracts from learning and encouraging an active, healthy lifestyle. At our Chintalpeth Academy, every enrolled student receives shoes, socks, and a T-shirt as part of enrolment — because we believe physical well-being and academic confidence go hand in hand.
MIAM organised a transformative school trip for tribal students to Baba Amte's Anandvan in Tadoba, Maharashtra — a 1,200-acre community dedicated to the rehabilitation of leprosy-affected patients. The students witnessed firsthand the power of human compassion and self-reliance, broadening their understanding of social issues and instilling a deep sense of empathy. They formed lasting bonds with the Anandvan community and carried the lessons of service home with them.
In Gadchiroli, MIAM provides physical training and skill development to improve fitness, well-being, and career prospects. Our partner Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd. supports the effort with direct job placements within their operations — turning training into stable livelihoods.
Every Sunday, MIAM brings joy, education, and confidence to tribal children in Gadchiroli's Naxal-affected villages — many of whom have never had access to recreational spaces or structured play. Children gather to enjoy toys, bicycles, and sports equipment alongside interactive learning games, while receiving chocolates and small gifts as a celebratory touch. What began as a simple weekly session has grown into a transformative life-direction program, steering young people away from substance abuse and tobacco.
"Our aim is not just to entertain children but to build their confidence and give them a new direction in life."
— Nitu Joshi, Founder, Mïam Charitable TrustLaunched in December 2024, MIAM's free police training and entrance-exam preparation centre in Waghmare village empowers Adivasi youth with the coaching they need to join law enforcement. The centre covers general knowledge, reasoning, aptitude, and intensive physical fitness training — removing all financial barriers that previously made government careers inaccessible to tribal families.
In just 2–3 years, MIAM's academies have helped 20+ tribal youth from Gadchiroli and Nashik secure government employment in police, paramilitary, and the Indian Army. Our coaching covers the full journey: academic preparation, physical training, study materials, uniforms, and travel support — so that no financial obstacle stands between a student and their dream.

A thriving, healthy environment is fundamentally inseparable from human prosperity. We treat environmental conservation as an urgent moral imperative, executing large-scale plantation drives that do more than just add greenery—they rebuild entire local ecosystems.
Our approach is community-led. We involve local tribal women, school children, and village elders in the planting and maintaining of these trees, ensuring incredibly high survival rates and fostering a deep, personal connection with the land.
Massive reforestation and biodiversity conservation drives targeting over 400+ native saplings planted in critical buffer zones.
Empowering women in Gadchiroli by funding micro-nurseries, creating a sustainable income source while supplying our plantation drives.
A fruit tree in every courtyard initiative in Vadalapeth village, providing long-term food security and shade to individual households.
On World Environment Day 2024, MIAM partnered with Jitendra Pardeshi (BMC Trees & Garden Superintendent) to plant a Chandan tree in Oshiwara Garden — celebrated by Mumbai The Print, Latestly, India Reporter Live, and All Rights. Trees reduce CO₂, boost oxygen, and bring back flowers, fruits, and nesting places for birds. We received an official certificate "In Support for Global Warming."
Root cause: Human development into forests is driving wild animals towards human settlements in search of food — creating insecurity for both. Our solution: Reforesting through community planting brings wildlife back to natural habitats, restores food and shelter, and rebalances the ecosystem. Trees absorb CO₂, produce oxygen, support biodiversity, protect water resources, and improve soil health.
More than a green initiative — a powerful step toward women's empowerment. Our nursery is run by local women from Wadlapeth village, trained and supported by MIAM. They grow medicinal plants, fruit saplings, native trees, and seasonal flowers — earning a sustainable income while promoting eco-conscious living. Education and environment, side by side.
Locally relevant herbs cultivated with traditional knowledge.
Long-term food security for families and communities.
Restoring local biodiversity and indigenous canopies.
Pollinator-friendly blooms supporting local ecology.
Our flagship World Environment Day 2025 campaign — "A Fruit Tree in Every Courtyard" — was covered by Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, News 18 Hindi, Daijiworld, Morning Kashmir, Up 18 News, Samar Saleel, All Rights, and Mid-Day. Centred in Vadalapeth village, it pairs every household with a fruit-bearing tree for shade, nutrition, and intergenerational food security.
'Jiva Daya' (compassion for all living beings) is a cornerstone of the Mïam philosophy. The stray and destitute animals of our streets are often entirely invisible to society. We strive to be their voice, their protectors, and their healers.
Operating primarily in the Chandrapur-Gadchiroli belt, our dedicated animal rescue teams work tirelessly through heat waves and monsoons to ensure that no animal suffers in silence or goes hungry.
Consistent, nutritious feeding schedules for hundreds of stray dogs and cattle across multiple districts.
Rapid response treatment for wounded animals, including vaccinations, deworming, and critical sterilization drives to manage populations humanely.
Educating villagers on co-existing with local wildlife and providing safe, professional rescue and relocation for snakes.
"Jiva Daya" — compassion for all living beings — is the cornerstone of our animal-welfare work. Our programs span sterilisation, vaccination, feeding, medical treatment, adoption support, road-safety belts, shelter, and a future Wildlife Medical Care Centre.
Humanely addressing overpopulation through sterilisation — improving the living conditions of stray animals.
Protecting both animal and human health, allowing peaceful coexistence without fear of deadly disease.
Restoring food balance lost to urban development — reducing human-animal conflict caused by hunger.
Fracture surgery, illness treatment, on-road treatment, and care for fly-attacks on wounds.
Supporting rescuers Shiv (Noida), Dimpal (Meerut), and Orpita (Noida) — building lasting human-animal bonds.
Glow-in-dark belts for stray cows and dogs — preventing road accidents at night and in fog.
Care for animals abandoned at old age, blindness, or sickness — supporting rescuers with shelter.
Future plan in Chandrapur-Gadchiroli with the Forest Department and Tadoba Wildlife Animal Treatment Centre.
In partnership with Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd., our workshop in Wadlapeth village (Gadchiroli) trained villagers in safe rescue and release techniques, distributed snake-catching sticks, dispelled myths about snakes, and built a conservation-minded community that respects the role of every species in the ecosystem.
As Gadchiroli develops into an industrial centre, MIAM and Surjagad Ispat run hands-on fire-prevention and emergency-response training — equipping local communities to handle hazards confidently across both industrial and residential settings.
A helpless street dog with severe skin infection — wounds and visible pain — was rescued by our animal care team. Provided full veterinary check-up, medication, a soothing recovery environment, nutritious food, and regular medicated baths. Every life matters.
A society cannot progress if half its population is left behind. We invest heavily in the empowerment of tribal and rural women, recognizing them as the true architects of community resilience and economic stability.
Beyond economics, we focus heavily on social cohesion. Through elder care programs and the revival of cultural festivals, we are actively strengthening the social fabric of villages that are facing rapid modernization and youth migration.
Training women in self-governance, forming Self Help Groups (SHGs), and providing pathways to genuine economic independence.
Providing essential resources, healthcare support, and most importantly, companionship to the elderly populations in isolated villages.
Organizing massive rural sports events to channel youth energy positively, discover raw talent, and foster unity among neighboring villages.
A flagship women-empowerment initiative — more than a catering service, RUHI Caters is a platform that enables local women to harness their skills, gain financial independence, and build sustainable livelihoods. Beyond financial security, MIAM provides educational assistance — equipping these women with the skills and confidence to become role models in their communities.
Honoured graduates with formal certificates — the foundation of self-employment.
Professional housekeeping skills with placement support.
Independence and mobility — opening up new livelihood paths.
Skill-based training leading to formal employment opportunities.
The skills behind RUHI Caters — turning home expertise into income.
MIAM has taken on the role of Guardian for women and men in rural Wadlapeth-Gadchiroli and urban areas who lack income and support. We provide groceries, oil, spices, lentils, and laundry soap on a monthly basis — restoring dignity and faith in humanity. Recent drives include grocery distribution in Chintalpeth (Gadchiroli) and Anandnagar (urban), saree distribution at Wadlapeth, and Flag Hoist celebrations at Waghera, Nashik.
During the harshest winter months, we distributed warm jackets to residents of Wadlapeth, Gadchiroli — relief for those most vulnerable to cold-weather risk.
Festivals revive the tradition of communal celebration through unity, ambience, and food — bonding communities and passing faith to the younger generation. Our drives reach across regions and faiths:
Food packets in Gadchiroli; grocery donation drive in Wadlapath; celebrations at Lahvit, Donwade and Waghera.
Food, sweets, and toys donated to children facing hardship in Allapalli.
Sponsored Durga Maa Idol; community celebration with shared meals.
Sponsored Ganesha Idol — emphasising the importance of human connections.
Sponsored events in Allapalli and Dinacherapalli — honouring Adivasi traditions.
A heart-warming colour celebration for underprivileged children — paired with notebooks and stationery kits.
In a fast-paced world, parents and children spend less time together — leading to weakened bonds and aged parents moving towards old age homes. We assist partner NGOs in Madhya Pradesh, Aheri (Gadchiroli), and Meerut with seasonal fruits — Aamras, mango, watermelon, muskmelon — easy on elderly digestion and immune health.
Both the elderly and young children are vulnerable and reliant on each other — for guidance, for safety, for support. When separated — one in an old age home, the other in an orphanage — they lead incomplete lives. Sanskaar Ghar bridges this gap, uniting both groups in one home: a circle of love, security, bonding, and belonging. Driven by our core value of "Sanskaar" — to nurture good citizens for a healthier nation.
On December 11, 2024, MIAM Charitable Trust officially opened the Inter-Centre Sports Event in Wadlapeth, Gadchiroli. Inaugurated by founder Nitu Joshi, the event brought together young talent from across our different centres to honour the values of good sportsmanship, cooperation, and healthy competition — channelling youth energy into team play and shared celebration.
Beyond festival-time food packets, MIAM runs ongoing Food Donation initiatives for individuals and families facing economic hardship — partnering with local food banks and community centres to reach the people who need it most, especially in tribal belts where seasonal scarcity hits hardest.
From road-traffic accidents to maternal nutrition to mobility for differently-abled individuals — our medical-care work meets people in moments of crisis and celebration. Most of these initiatives are powered by our partnership with Surjagad Ispat Pvt. Ltd.
Direct support for individuals injured in road-traffic accidents — essential care and resources for full recovery.
Apple distribution at government hospitals — supporting pregnant women and new mothers with nutrition for both child and parent.
Customised cycles distributed in Wadlapeth, Gadchiroli — promoting independence and inclusion for those with physical challenges.
Volunteering to register tribal and rural families for Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY (health insurance) and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana (accident insurance) — securing lives through government entitlements they never knew they had.
Watch real moments from the field — school libraries, tribal culture, and lives changing in real time.
